The Primary Goods Distillery Story

Commencing in 2020 and officially opening for trading in 2021, The Primary Goods Co Distillery was birthed out of the commercial and social effects of the pandemic with lockdowns and restrictions, offering a unique opportunity to chase dreams and focus on transforming a hidden commercial storage unit into a multi-award-winning distillery.

Established by Dylan and Falecki, this boutique distillery is nestled within a footprint of less than 150m2 and is the first distillery of any kind in the City of Parramatta and one of only a handful in the western suburbs of Sydney.

Described by the local community as a “diamond in the rough”, the distillery is known for producing high-quality award-winning spirits, focusing on small-batch production and innovative manufacturing methods. Further to this, a 25-seat cellar door with a cocktail bar makes this small distillery a well-rounded local business where visitors are welcomed by the statement, “If you think you’re lost, you’re in the right place.”

The Founder

Founder and master distiller Dylan Falecki has 20 years of building experience as a carpenter and licensed builder, and 10 of those years have involved project management and designing renovation segments for network television. Alongside running his construction business, Dylan also established a bespoke furniture design and manufacturing studio. Dylan was granted an innovation patent for one of his designs and won multiple national and international awards while exhibiting in Europe and Asia. This is a testament to his ability and passion for making tangible, functional and beautiful products. ‘Making’ is at the heart of this distillery, with Dylan's “maker” background ensuring he has the appropriate skill sets required to establish and operate a successful craft distillery.
